Paphos Airport (PFO) is a city rich in sights and museums. Its historical cultural values and ancient excavations definitely are very interesting. To ensure that your acquaintance with them leaves only enjoyable memories, do not forget to bring water and comfortable shoes with you.
A long seafront with tall palm trees and open cafes will lead you to the seaport. In the waterfront restaurant, you can try local food, eat an English breakfast with a view of the ships and fishing boats, or just have a coffee and visit the Medieval fortress.
The Mediterranean Sea is considered the tidiest. Clean beaches stretch almost along the entire coast of Paphos. People open the swimming season already in April-May, while the locals come to the beaches only by the middle of summer. The hottest period is the end of July-August. Therefore, if you prefer mild temperatures, warm water and fewer tourists, September-October will be the best time for a comfortable stay.
At the end of spring, the sea is still fresh, but the eyes are pleasing with the incredible flowers around. At this time, after the winter rains, the island dresses up, flowers bloom are everywhere on the bushes and trees.
The atmospheric streets of the Old Town in Limassol are made for unhurried evening walks with the family. Picturesque villages in the suburbs are populated mainly by aged and very good-natured people. Medieval color, mountain landscapes, traditional taverns.
By the way, a little advice from Cyprus taxi services – when choosing a place for a eating, you should give preference to the tavern in which there are the most Cypriots. They know really tasty places.
Visit old churches and small churches. In them, believers will be able to venerate icons and holy relics. Group excursions to monasteries are very popular, but if you prefer privacy, there is a lot of information on the Internet with which you can make your own route.
A small reminder of what you should definitely take with you on any excursion:

Our company has fixed prices for all destinations, which will allow you to avoid distasteful suddenness at the end of the trip.
The driver arranges the route in such a way that you can relax on the way and take pleasure of the view of the sights of the sea from the window. For your comfort, we suggest only new cars with a comfy interior, properly working air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
The taxi will arrive on time, equipped for the right number and age of passengers and luggage. The cost can be found on the website so you don’t need to worry about extra fee. All our drivers are officially licensed. A licensed driver is the key to your safety on the road.
Not all drivers are licensed. Travel costs are often inflated. If you are traveling in a large company, with children, or if you have large luggage with you, then finding a suitable car can take a long time, sometimes an hour or more.
Public transport in Cyprus is not the most handy way to get around, as daytime routes end trips around 19: 00. On weekends the time distance between routes increases, and in the suburbs it stops altogether.
The bus from Paphos airport to the city runs nearly once an hour from 10: 35 to 21: 05.
But from Larnaca airport to get to Paphos by bus is much more difficult. You will first have to get to the bus station in the port of Limassol and then transfer to the bus towards Paphos.
Several times a year bus drivers stage protests during which they completely stop their work for several hours or days.
There is left-hand traffic in Cyprus, so the first days you drive, you should be especially prudent. The driver is interdicted to hold a mobile phone, drink, eat food. Gas stations are located mainly near cities. If you are planning a trip to the mountains, it is worth filling up a full tank first.
Larnaca International Airport – Glafcos Clerides (Greek: Διεθνής Aερολιμένας Λάρνακας (Diethnís Aeroliménas Lárnakas); Turkish: Larnaka Uluslararası Havalimanı) (IATA: LCA, ICAO: LCLK) is an international airport located 4 km (2.5 mi) southwest of Larnaca, Cyprus.[3] Larnaca International Airport is Cyprus’ main international gateway and the larger of the two commercial airports in the area controlled by the Republic of Cyprus, the other being Paphos International Airport on the island’s southwestern coast. The airport was given its current name in July 2016, in honour of former President of Cyprus (1993 – 2003) Glafcos Clerides.[4]
Larnaca Airport was hastily developed towards the end of 1974 after the invasion of Cyprus by Turkey on 20 July of the same year,[5] which forced the closure of the Nicosia International Airport. The site on which it was built (near the Larnaca Salt Lake) had been previously used as an airfield[which?] in the 1930s and, subsequently, as a military installation[which?] by British forces. Larnaca International opened on 8 February 1975, with only limited infrastructure facilities and a prefabricated set of buildings comprising separate halls for departures and arrivals. The first airlines to use the new airport were Cyprus Airways, using Viscount 800s leased from British Midland, and Olympic Airways, using NAMC YS-11s. Initially, the runway at Larnaca International was too short for jet aircraft.
